SPRINGFIELD, IL - Lieutenant Governor Corinne
Wood today selected Tanzania Grubbs, from Calumet City, as a summer intern
in the Chicago office.
Grubbs, who is studying business accounting
at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, will work on several outreach
projects throughout the state. Grubbs is also involved in several organizations,
including the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority.
"I am delighted to have Tanzania work in
my office this summer," Lt. Governor Wood said, "She will be a true asset
because of her experience in community service."
Lieutenant Governor Corinne Wood's summer
internship program focuses on outreach and constituent services. Interns
will receive valuable public service and educational experiences through
the summer program and an opportunity to work closely with the Lieutenant
Governor and her staff.
