Special arrangements are being made by
the Village of Matteson and New Faith Baptist Church to bring unity and
spirit into the south suburban area through their joint community job fair
and career day. The Job Fair will be held on Wednesday- November 8, 2000
at the New Faith Baptist Church located at: 25 Central Avenue in Matteson,
IL from 9:00a.m. to 3:00p.m.
This will be an all day employment opportunity,
training and educational event. The job fair is an extension of the Building
Bridges Program. This program will help youth enter an apprenticeship and
training program through 'New Faith' conducted by church staff member Cynthia
Knox.
Companies that plan to attend are: Ford
Motor Company Assembly Plant, Jewel/Osco Stores, Airborne Express, Manpower,
American Freightways, Bank Calumet, Federal Signal, UPS, Bearing Headquarters,
CTA, Museum of Science and Industry, Sears, Wells Fargo, TCF Bank, and
many other companies.
The Job Fair/Career Day is FREE and open
to the public. However, we ask everyone to come dressed appropriately and
