Combine the eclectic funk of Toni Tone,

coooool essence of Miles Davis and soul of any popular 70's R&B group

and you have Phat Cat Players, the hottest new crop of musical talent to

sprout up from Southern soil since cotton was king.

These young "cats," signed to Florida-based

indy Parlane Entertainment Group, have taken the music industry by storm

with the release of their smash hit single, "Sundress," featuring the smoky

baritone of front man and founder Danny B. Harris.

On the spoken word piece, Harris takes

on the persona of the illustrious "Coco Brown" and drops much game about

the "natural essence of a woman." As Coco's prose rises and falls over

the song's hypnotic bass line, his delivery has all the snap, crackle and

pop of flames licking wood in a fireplace.

Coco not only teases, but flirts with and

seduces his subject by exposing his inner thoughts and vulnerabilities,

a coup that has sent women to record stores in droves to purchase the Phat

Cat Players' debut compilation CD, "Make It Phat, Baby!" Men too, seem

to have exhaled, as Coco makes it cool to be a gentleman and show your

true feelings.

For all intents and purposes, the Phat

Cat Players consist of a funky band and several lead artists. However,

the group's hallmark is its versatility and ability to satisfy the musical

palates of audiences from 4 to 40.

The core group - Darius "Doc D" Baker (keyboards);

Taurus Lovely (drums); Nate Banks (percussions); Mike Ferguson (bass);

Mark "The Funky Violinist" Russell; Rick Watford (guitar); with vocalists

Adrian Morris, Slater Thorpe, Terra "Earthchild" Baker and Coco Brown rounding

out the crew - offers a sizzling blend of Old and New School musical formats.

The success of "Sundress" has taken the

Phat Cat Players on jaunts across the United States to throngs of appreciative

fans who are clamoring for Harris and company's midas musical touch. The

group rocked the house during stints on BET's "Live from L.A.;" "An Expo

For Today's Black Woman" and at a fund-raiser for the National African

Research Library whereby they entertained the likes of Tyra Banks, Wesley

Snipes and Samuel L. Jackson.

Currently, the group is gearing up for

a European tour where they plan to "reach out and touch our fans with our

own brand of funk." Whatever they do, you can bet your last dollar they'll

"Keep It Phat Baby!" Visit the groups website at: www.phatcatplayers.com.
