A Deputy Voter Registrar Training Held for Suburban Cook County Residents

Homewood, IL - William R. Moran, (D-Calumet

City), 6th District Cook County Commissioner, in conjunction with Cook

County Clerk David Orr's office will be hosting a "Deputy Voter Registrar

Training" for anyone in Cook County who would like to become a Deputy Voter

Registrar to registered people for the upcoming elections. The training

will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2000 at 11:00a.m. at the Chicago

Heights Municipal Building, 1601 Chicago Road. The training will last two

hours or less.

Interested individuals must register with

Commissioner Moran's office at (708)206-1386. A minimum of 15 participants

are required by the Clerk's office to conduct the training. The participants

must bring two (2) pieces of ID, including with a current address on the

day of the training. Everyone of the age of 18 years and older are encouraged
