Truth, Justice and E’Quality (Formerly the Chicago

Heights City Council

Report)

By Robert McCoy

Once again, I have

accumulated a number of “small stories,” which aren’t big enough to fill up a

weekly column, but interesting enough to add to the collection.  Hopefully, together these little stories

will start you to think about the broader implications of the news you see and

read in the controlled press.

In light, of the

concentration on reparations for Africans and African Americans for slavery and

the conclusion of the world conference on racism last week, I thought you

should know about the one trillion dollar (that’s 1,000 billion) lawsuit filed

against the Japanese government for WW II forced slave labor.  This was for a few years and a few thousands

of victims.  So if they are entitled to

1 trillion, roughly the size of the Baby Bush's tax cut, which has plunged the

nation back to borrowing, how much does the U.S. Government owe millions of

African Americans for over 350 years of slavery?  Check your dictionary and see what’s the denomination after a

zillion.  Now you see why the low level  U.S.

delegation had to leave the conference before it ended.

The second story of interest

is U.S. Senate Committee on the nation's preparedness for biological attack on

the citizens of America.  Medical, police, and public safety

institutions are not ready to deal with a biological attack.  The report concludes that many Americans

would die in a nuclear bomb attack and that a biological attack is the most

likely way a terrorist group would attack America

because of the ease to manufacture and deliver.

So why is Baby Bush and the

boys trying to spend billions of additional tax dollars on a Ronald Ray-Gun

Star War Anti-Missile System that doesn’t work?  Attacks by missiles are less likely and the most expensive way to

attack America.  In fact only three or four nations in the

world have the nuclear and long range missile technology to attack America

via missiles.  So why would Baby Bush

waste money on defending the least likely attack mode at the expense of the

most likely terrorist attack from biological or chemical weapon attack which

certainly would take place in a major metropolitan area like Chicagoland?

It is criminal that the Bush

administration would put all of us at risk of biological or chemical weapon

attack so that he can waste billions of our tax dollars with his campaign

contribution buddies in military industrial complex.  The boy is stuck on stupid.

Our only salvation is to put political pressure on our members of

congress to ensure to any additional military spending goes to local

preparedness, training and local infrastructure improvements in case of

biological or chemical weapons attacks.

About a year ago Night Line

did one simulated non-contagious subway biological attack on one U.S.

city and the results were over 100,000 dead.

What if it was a contagious virus and there was more than one site?  The Senate Committee simulated attacks in

three U.S.

cities and the media didn’t release the estimated death toll.

If you have never called or

written your Congressman or U.S. Senator, I think it is time you learned how to

use that cell phone for something other than gossip and small talk.  Otherwise, when it happens (both reports say

its just a matter of time) you won’t have anyone to blame but your apathy.  The SAGA continues.
