WASHINGTON (NNPA)-In an early morning incident which some

authorities are calling a deliberate attack, the New York World Trade Center,

was hit in two separate plane collisions.

At press time, nearly 10 deaths have been caused by this

attack in addition to those of the two planes which appear to have hit each of

the center's two towers. No group has taken responsibility for the attacks

although authorities believe that at least one plane was hijacked as it was en

route to Los Angeles.

In coordinated strikes, the attacks came about 20 minutes

apart. The first, according to reports hit just before 9 a.m. today and the

second, a larger plane, flew into the second tower.

By 9:30 a.m., among a media blitz, President Bush in an

elementary school speech he had planned to give this morning, announced that he

was deploying all federal resources and agencies toward the investigation.

"We will find the folks who did this," Bush said

solemnly as he called for a moment of silence for the families of the victims.

The president left to go to Washington

As media and authorities continued to unravel matters in New

York, another explosion occurred in the Washington, DC area at the Pentagon.

Plumes of white smoke billowed away from the building in the televised report

as witnesses reported feeling the structure quake.

Government buildings around the DC metro area are currently

under heightened alert.
