The Marion Nzinga Youth Center will hold

its Third Annual Spectacular rendition of 'Shakin The Mess Out of Misery'

Friday, May 26, 200 From 7:30 P.m. until 9:30 p.m. and Saturday, May 27,

2000 from 7:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m.

All productions performances will be held

in the auditorium of the Near North High School located at 1450 N. Larrabee.

The production is performed by In the Company

of Sistahs Troupe, and written by Shay Youngblood and directed by Tara

Stamps. The cast of Shakin' The Mess Out of Misery delivers. The play is

a chronicle of seven African American Women whose lives testify to the

neverending flames of perseverance and persistence and the joys of love...

living their lives despite the ceaseless onslaught of persecution in the

rural 1920s.

Shakin' The Mess Out of Misery provides

a culturally enhancing experience guaranteed to leave you with a heart-felt

dance of hope.

Tickets are priced at $25 for adults, $12.50

for student with identification and $5 for senior citizens. Tickets for

the performance can be purchased at the Marion Nzinga Stamps Youth Center

beginning May 5th from 9:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m..

Nzinga Stamps Youth Center's Job Readiness Program.
