The Upscale Re$ale Shoppe will hold its

official grand opening on Saturday, May 20, 2000 at its new location. If

it's a great deal you are looking for, then look no further, because its

new owner, Vicki L. Barclay and her partner, Joley C. Pryor probably have

it in the friendly confines of the shoppe located in a fashionable mini

mall at 19104 S. Pulaski Rd, in Country Club Hills.

To own a store has been my life long dream,'

said Vicki as she put some finishing touches on the shop's walls. Vickie,

the daughter of a former Skokie Police Chief, has done it all. A former

hospital administrator in China town to Real Estate Manager, in Hyde Park,

the cheerful new owner now looks to do it again, but on her own terms.

But this time it will be as owner and partner with long time friend and

former teacher, Joley Pryor.

'It's was now or never' Vickie said as

the two partners sorted a batch of like new dresses and women clothes.

My former boss died recently, and I had to make up my mind to do it now.

I had been doing this for quite some time in the small shop in the basement

of my former boss,' added Vickie.

Our luck changed for the better, because

as we were moving inventory, my transportation went out, and it was the

owner of Lang's Auto & Towing who came to the rescue. 'He let us use

one of his trucks and that's how we got all of these wonderful items to

the shop,' continued Vickie.

Some more friends added to her luck as

they put up shelving, painted moldings, and put the shop in order for the

grand opening to be held Saturday.

When asked what one might find in their

shop, the two both smiled and said, 'any and everything good. Whatever

the occasion we have it.' It's a lady's paradise. She can get lost in here

and when she leaves she will have a one of a kind item and that's what

we women like.' From clothes, to furniture, to antiques you will leave

here with a good buy and well pleased, Joley added. We carry the best in

women and men's clothing, shoes, furniture and appliances. The shop also

carries as an added attraction authentic Movie posters.

In addition to purchasing items at the

shop, Vicki has arranged to accept items on consignment.

We will definitely make you a deal you

can't refuse. Meanwhile, this dynamic duo is inviting everyone to the shop
